Definately haven't heard a better remix or more solid sampling on this site. Did you make this (I don't feel like looking it up)?

Does anyone know exactly what that sample is from? It's hot as hell.

Thanks for the speedy response, though I was more interested in the sample used for the track rather than the disc the remix appears on.

Thanks. You don't happen to know the title of the Alan Hawkshaw track, do you?

alan hawkshaw play in a band called THE MOHAWKS (he took the name of Morris Hawk )
the title of the song is " beat me till I'm blue "
you can have this song on : " THE CHAMP by THE MOHAWKS " ( PAMA 1968 )
BLOW UP compilation volume 1 ( BLOW UP Records - UK)

he play with a lot of artists (Tom Jones, Barbara Steisand ) but my favorite is the LP: " MELODY NELSON by Serge Gainsbourg " ( 1971 - with Alan Parker, a KPM musician too )

Yep, the name of the song is "beatme till i´m blue" by Alan Hawkshaw. If you are interested in similar artists also check, keith Mansfield.

Cute, and flows well. It's only flaws are that it needs an intro and that it's too short. There's lot of stuff in the song that could've worked as a sweet intro, so I'm kinda confused at the lack of an introduction. Other than that, it's swell stuff.

I know who made this, he's a mate of mine, nothing to do with Soulwax. But I don't think he'd thank me for revealing his identity on the Official BB board, since he never got clearance for any of the track. But he has released loads of stuff under various aliases.

And he's just done a wicked mash up of The Beastie Boys "Ch-check it Out" & Peggy Lee's "Sittin on the Dock of the Bay" which you can get here:

I just checked the MP3 - this is obviously cut from a recording of a Soulwax DJ set - which is why you don't get the full intro & it gets cut short. This was pressed up on 500 12" singles about 2 years ago, never to be pressed again.

The song's only flaw is that it's too short. Awesome remix.
