Default 2005.01.14 Tokyo, Japan @ Nippon Budokan

Much bigger crowd at the Budokan... and many many people got there before doors opened. Good for roving cameraman. Not that this really matters after the fact, but the boys changed up the set list during the show, playing songs out of order. I think this is the list that was actually played. They had a few crew members scrambling to keep up. Met a few American board members who traveled all the way the show from LA without even having tickets. Luckily they were able to buy at the venue. And met a few Japanese board members who are going to all 3 Japan shows.

The setlist was awesome and there was some energy going on....
they were wearing their orange and black adidas rhymesuits and then red t-shirts with board games written on the front....mike d was critter then i think yauch was mah jong and adrock was scrabble....

adrock did a poll at the end of the show....who got their tickets at which convenience store - lawson, family mart or sunkus....money mark got his ticket free with a rice ball from sunkus !

...mix master mike was showing off his new PSP

...money mark did a back flip which I didn't know he could do !

the crowd was having a really good time and not silent at all !

Le Tigre were pretty cool

All in all it was a cool show, and for me very cool because it was my birthday and budokan is really close to where I work !

Toby, listen to me. What you saw in there was a man being forced to go berzerk because there are parts of his body he wasn't born with.

Oh dear, this is my first post so I'm a bit nervous...

Hi James, thanks for putting the set list!
Can you please add "The Move"? I was there last night and definitely danced to the song crazily.

Yauch introduced "Ch-Check It Out" saying "This next one is the first song on our new album"
which is the quote from the opening of Jimmy James - Cheap Trick Live at Budokan. How cool he is!!

Ah, and I could touch Yauch's hairy arm

Thanks to the boys for a fantastic night, and hope to see you in Japan again very soon.
Enjoy the rest of your stay

You're welcome ! PSP is Sony's new handheld console: http://www.playstation.jp/psp/

on the videoscreen MMM seemed pretty proud of his and adrock seemed impressed by the widescreen capabilities

Also on the videoscreen it seemed like lots of Japanese people were requesting egg man...I wonder what's up with that ? What is it about eggs ?

Thumbs up Re: 2005.01.14 Tokyo@ Nippon Budokan

hey, i just registered. the gig in budokan was really great!! i got to touch mca, too, and it was really sweet of him to walk around like that.
i think the crowd was really excited, too!!

MMM was mixing stuff off 99 problems and my prerogative which i thought was cool, but i forgot for which track it was...somewhere in the beginning, i guess.

i was surprised that soba violence wasn't requested that much in the film...as a japanese, i personally wanted to hear it.
and believe me, there is no obsession over eggs between japanese people

It's all about the chawanmushi. I personally don't mess with that shit.
White tuna tataki all the way.

Another great review M! I'll second your suggestion that we need to have another North American tour.

Does one of you want to try one of those "YAUCH - Please tour some more"-type threads? I'm seriously getting ready to try one on a different topic. It might be embarrassing but he did answer once, right?

Those are great photos! I really want to go to want to go to Tokyo. I'm guessing I couldn't afford that view though.

James, thanks for a complete setlist!!
It's already 1 week passed from the live and I'm still in the Bboys mood!

Are there more pics of Budokan or in Tokyo to be update?
I would like to see the boys at the backstage of Budokan.
