Hey guys, what's up. Great site, glad I found it. New member, first post. I've been a B-boy fan for a long time, have all their albums.

For my first I've decided to ask a rather silly question, but one that has been bugging me for a long time nonetheless. Check out the back cover of Ill Communication.

Check out the last guy on the left side (our left, their right). The link says his name is Amery "AWOL" SMITH. Now, I know this is a stupid question, but what do you think he's doing with his hands? It's hard to see here because the picture is small, but if you have the CD at home look at it. I swear that to me it looks like he's breaking down weed or something. (That's the way I put my hands when I do that) If you don't smoke and never did, you won't notice it. I may be mistaken, and it doesn't really matter one way or another, but does it look that way to you?


PS: I know this may be the stupidest question ever asked on this site, but I was curious.

I too have a question about this album. i was looking through the ill comm cd booklet thing today and came across the centrefold of the tree and earth picture. i think i remember this question being asked before a whiiiile back, but who's that pic by? anyone know? title and/or artist?

He's counting his coins. He's hungry and wants to buy a slice of pizza but is not sure if he has enough money. He has just reached into his pocket and pulled out all of the coins/shirt buttons/lint and is sorting through it to see if he has enough money. It's a true story.

I always thought Hurricane's face looks like it was superimposed into the picture, like it doesn't fit right with the image. If it was, it would be an interesting bit of trivia to find out who sttod in for him.
